Today marks an exciting new chapter in our story as we change our trading name from Beaver Healthcare Furniture to Ocura Healthcare Furniture.
The rebrand is part of a wider restructure which will further strengthen our offering to hospitals throughout the UK and see us enter international markets. The new name also better reflects our core principles of value, service and speed. We will continue to be registered as Beaver Healthcare Ltd.
Beaver Healthcare Furniture was originally set up by a Kent-based businessman who specialised in manufacturing phlebotomy chairs. His wife was Canadian and so he decided to name the business after their national symbol – the beaver. When we bought over the business we decided to keep the name because it was already recognised as a preferred supplier of choice.
Since then, we have grown the business from offering the first height adjustable phlebotomy chair to now supplying almost all acute NHS Trusts and private hospital groups throughout the UK with a range of more than 1,200 products.
Although our trading name is changing, our commitment to providing the highest level of service and a comprehensive range of great value furniture remains the same. We are continuously looking for ways to improve to ensure we remain at the forefront of the hospital furniture sector and ultimately make life as easy as possible for our customers.
As part of this, we have expanded our express, five-day delivery range to get even more of our popular product to hospitals quickly, aligned all of our purchasing processes with our customers’ and have an intense product development programme underway.
I’d like to take this opportunity to personally thank all our customers for their support. We are hugely passionate about supporting the wellbeing of patients and hospital staff alike and are proud of the partnerships we have forged. I look forward to working with you in the months and years ahead.
